Welcome to my Hotel Dusk shrine!

Hotel Dusk: Room 215 is a visual novel developed by Cing in 2007 for the Nintendo DS handheld console. It follows former NYPD detective Kyle Hyde as he uncovers the mysteries behind an enigmatic hotel outside of Los Angeles. It deals with themes of police corruption, loss, betrayal, and leaving the past behind.

Hotel Dusk is one of my favorite games of all time. I love the way it utilizes the DS's unique features for puzzles, the beautiful hand-drawn art style, and the captivating setting and characters. I'll be delving deep into all of the aspects of the game that I love here. For now, this shrine is a work-in-progress, but it's getting there, so please check back for more in the future!

A quick note: Hotel Dusk: Room 215 has a sequel called Last Window: The Secret of Cape West, but this shrine focuses on the first game only. I haven't yet played Last Window (it's on my list!), so I don't feel comfortable covering it here. Hotel Dusk is the game I know well and love, so I'll focus on it here, and there will be no references to its sequel -- yet. Maybe after I play it, I'll expand the shrine, but for now it's solely a Hotel Dusk: Room 215 tribute.
